ELDERS

David Silver - Elder

David and his wife, Jill, have been part of the BCC family for over forty years, and can testify to God’s constant faithfulness to our body in every season. They have two adult sons.

Now retired, David and Jill spend time enjoying backyard flower gardens, and take day trips to Michigan’s beautiful lakes, small towns, lighthouses, and seemingly endless coastline. David and Jill also serve on the board of Hope House urban ministry in Detroit.

A favorite verse that always challenges David is Philippians 3:10: “I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings.”

Darrin Kelbert - Elder

Darrin was born in Farmington, Michigan, moved to Brighton in 1976, and grew up in the Brighton Christian Church family. Attending BCC since he was in 4th grade, his grandfather helped build the church, his father was an elder, and he eventually met his beautiful wife Stacy in the youth group.

Darrin and Stacy have two grown children (Harrison and Mackenzie), and they enjoy spending time with their family, playing golf, and living and serving in the community.

Two of Darrin's favorite bible verses are: Ephesians 2:10 "For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." and Ephesians 5:1-2 "Follow God's example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God"
